We collect an IP address from all visitors to our site. We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information unless directly provided by the user.

The Site uses cookies. You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. By using this website, you agree to our use of cookies.

The Site uses third party tracking to optimize the user experience. This allows us to provide our website visitors with a better experience as well as analyse user trends.

We will retain your personal information, should you provide it, for the period necessary for the purposes for which the data was collected or until it is no longer needed, whichever is the longer.

The California Consumer Privacy Act, also referred to as CCPA, is a privacy-centric bill aimed at protecting the privacy of California consumers that will be effective on January 1, 2020.

If you are a VL OMNI customer, under the CCPA you’re considered the ‘business’ and VL OMNI is the ‘service provider’. As such, we at VL OMNI are responsible for processing the data our service captures on your site and is stored on our servers. As noted in our Privacy Policy on this page, we will never sell personal data to third parties.

Because of the many product and process enhancements we made in preparation for the 2018 European Union General Data Protection Regulation (EU-GDPR), when the CCPA was signed we were already well-positioned to support customers needing to comply. We have updated our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy to reflect the CCPA post-EU-GDPR.

The CCPA is a large piece of legislation and covers many topics that have no direct impact or tie with your use of VL OMNI. However, there are areas of the CCPA where your customers might have rights that relate to your use of VL OMNI. We’ve included a brief explanation of their rights and how VL OMNI can be used in a manner that supports you in servicing them below.

1. Privacy notice
Under the CCPA, businesses must update privacy notices to specifically state what data is collected, categorize the data collected, explain the purpose for the data’s use, identify third parties with which that data is shared, and communicate the rights available to an individual.

The lawful disclosure and consent have always been part of VL OMNI’s Terms of Service, located on this page.

We recommend that you perform a full review of your company’s terms of service and privacy policy to ensure you meet the CCPA’s requirements and, if necessary, disclose the use of VL OMNI.

2. Personal information requests (right of access and deletion)
Under the CCPA, California consumers may have the right to request and receive a list of personal information and additional details a business collects (or has collected), as well as the intended business use for collecting this data.

The consumer may also be able to request that any specific personal information be deleted. With the exception of specific types of data (e.g. billing or other regulatory required information), these deletion requests must be fulfilled by you, the business.

3. IP addresses
Under CCPA, an IP address may be considered personal data if it can identify a household.

We collect an IP address from all visitors to our site. We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information unless directly provided by the user.

Any personal correspondence you send to us, including e-mail and letters, as well as correspondence from other customers or third parties about your activities or postings pertaining to VL Virtual Logistics Inc., and all entries made by you onto The Site will be collected and stored. Any notes, ideas, suggestions, or other material submitted by users will be treated as the property of VL Virtual Logistics Inc.

This Privacy Policy is subject to change may be updated from time to time. VL Virtual Logistics’ updated privacy statement will be posted on this The Site within a reasonable period of time so our users may be aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
