VL OMNI became fully EU GDPR compliant in Q1 of 2018. We have revised our privacy and security practices accordingly to comply with, and support our customers and partners in complying with GDPR. This process was lengthy but a positive experience and allowed our business to achieve a created a greater level of discipline and accountability. We looked at all our data movements and understood as a data integration iPaaS platform, we are both a data controller and a data processor. This made us a unique within GDPR and make us take a strategic look at our business and its data protection.
Here’s a quick summary of some of the updates VL OMNI has implemented in light of our GDPR compliance:
- We’ve updated the Privacy Statement & Terms of Use policies on our website to comply with the new requirements under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which came into effect on May 25, 2018.
- Our site’s Cookie Policy has been fully GDPR compliant for over a year; users should expect no changes to their site experience, while new users will be required to opt-in to our Cookies policy via the continued use of the site and confirming via opting-in on a Cookies policy popup one time only.
- We’ve improved the way we describe our practices and explain how you can make choices about your information and the measures we’ve put in place to keep your information secure.
- VL OMNI Customers and Partners can expect new language added to our contracts as well as detail on data movements.
