How VL OMNI is Responding to COVID-19 and Our Commitment to Our Customers
March 13, 2020, Oakville, Ontario, Canada — In light of developments in the global outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the recent escalation of the outbreak to pandemic conditions by the W.H.O., the VL OMNI offices will be closing to all in-person traffic on Monday, March 16th. We will be continuing normal operations under remote, work-from-home ordinances during this time. This ordinance will be in effect until further notice.
As a serverless cloud-based data integration platform and a company that uses cloud-based services, VL OMNI is very well equipped to continue normal operations during this time. Current customers of VL OMNI will notice no disruption to their services as operations will continue as normal, including communications. We have made this decision for a number of reasons. But first and foremost for the health and safety of our employees and for the community we exist in. This decision has been made in light of guidance from local and federal health authorities, as well as taking direction from VL OMNI partners like Shopify and Shopify Plus, and other companies in the tech sector like Microsoft and Google. We believe working from home is the best option as we continue to monitor the progress of the virus.
Our response to COVID-19: Work from home and from the cloud
During this time of uncertainty, VL OMNI would like to stress that all of our resources are in the cloud. We have no servers in our offices and our platform is fully serverless. This allows us to work as usual while still providing the highest level of support to our customers while keeping employees safe.
